Vanityjam exhibition

I've been running a booth at Design Festa Gallery Harajuku since June 24th.

What's Design Festa Gallery? It's an international art gallery in Harajuku, Tokyo.

Many overseas visitors visit the gallery. 

it's listed in foreign guidebooks and introduced in foreign magazines as an awesome creative art space that is full of originality.

I've been displaying my poisoned cute characters "Vanny" and "Soppy".

They were created as a mix of evil and cute, surreal and ironic, a little bit mysterious.

You know, rabbits are much-loved animals. They have the image of being meek, adorable and able to heal.

I added some poison to them to express the dual nature of humans.

I'm sure you'll get addicted to them!

Cherry blossoms

The cherry blossom season has come!

Did you already have a cherry blossom viewing party?
During the month of April many people go out to admire the
cherry blossoms in full bloom.
"Hanami" or cherry blossom viewing, is part of Japanese culture
and famous cherry blossom spots are always crowded with admires.

I went to Senzoku-Ike park to see the cherry blossoms last night.

It was a very cold night, 

but there were a lot of people here than I thought there would be.

There were many stalls around and lots of people enjoy 

having parties under the cherry blossoms and drinking.

The great burger

I went to a hamburger place called The Great Burger.ヾ(@⌒￢⌒@)ノ

It's a small restaurant, with a very good homey atmosphere.

They have many kind of hamburgers and sandwiches.

I ordered a Mushroom mozzarella burger.

I enjoyed a juicy patty and fresh vegetables.

My favourite Cherry Coke! Yum! 

The hamburger that I ordered costs 1350 yen.

I think it's worth a try! :)

Ate out at a Yakitori restaurant

I went to a yakitori restaurant called Tori-GIn last night.

What's yakitori? 

Yakitori is a char-broiled chicken,I think it's sort of like shish kebab.

It's one of my favourite Japanese cuisine.

I had beer and oolong-hi.

 They look delicious, don't they?

 I had delicious yakitori and Kama-meshi.

Kama-meshi is a popular rice dish

adding seasonal ingredients such as mushrooms, 

crab, and vegetables to the rice cook in a small iron pot.

 I drank too much!

That was a delicious meal!

Green tea

I'm on a green tea kick nowadays. 

I drink more than 3 cups of green tea every day.

You know, it's high in vitamin.

It makes my skin look shinier!

Actually I was a kind of coffee person.

When I had a really bad cold, a friend of mine who is a teashop owner told me 

green tea has a lot of vitamin and tea catechin. So, it works for a cold.

That's why I started to drink green tea.

By the way, my American friend said that
green tea with mint and plenty of sugar is popular. Have you ever tried it ?
I've never tasted it but I think it's not my cup of tea! ;)

a chiropractic treatment

I got a chiropractic treatment a few days ago. It was my first time to saw a chiropractor. Since I got surgeries to get and remove dental implants I had to refrain from strenuous exercise. So I have stopped going to gym for 2 months. Possibly due to this, my neck muscles were very tense, my lumbar muscles went very tight, I couldn't even bend forward because of a back pain. The treatment was strange for me. I've gotten a massage many times. I thought "chiropractic" was same or similar to  "massage" , but I was wrong! The chiropractor clicking my bones!! It doesn't hurt but it was frightening!!  Anyway, it worked very well!! Wowie!! It made the pain go away! whee♪ ヾ(*⌒∇⌒)八(⌒∇⌒*)ツ whee♪

DESIGN FESTA VOL.34

I joined an event called "DESIGN FESTA vol.34".

It's the largest art event held in Asia, and more than 60,000 visitors over two days.

 This picture doesn't do me justice. So I put a ♥on my face. ;)

Two boys who have all the appearances of "Visual-kei" or "Punk rocker"

 visited us and said, 

"We're big fan of Vanityjam."

Wow! I was so surprised!! 

And they said, 

"We have been checking Vanityjam's website and you-tube channel."

They made my day!

But I totally blew it!! I forgot to take their pic,,, sigh,,,

There were galaxy of fashionable people, 

brill creators, designers, performers, musicians,,,

I got inspiration from looking at the works of other participants.

I had a great time! 

I'd LOVE to attend the event next year, too!!

A freak accident

I got a surgery to get dental implants last month. 

A few days later, I had a meeting with several people.

One of them had a cold. (I think he  has a poor hygiene. He catches a cold easily.)

He showed really poor judgement! He knew he was sick but he met with me anyway.

He had a bad cough, and he spread the germs. (He is such a buttfucker!!)

The cold virus infected my wound!!

My teeth and gums were throbbing!  My left cheek was really swollen like a balloon. 

I ended up got a surgery to wash and remove the implants!!

Now, I'm getting better.

But I have to get the surgery to get new implants again after six month.

I wish he hadn't shown up!!

Rain boots

It's way tooooooooooo hot everyday!!  You know,Japan has a sticky rainy season from June to the middle of July. I can't stand that muggy Japanese summer!  The only thing to look forward to is that I can wear rain boots! Every year many shoe manufacturers release new designs of rain boots. Actually they look fashionable,cool and don't look like rain boots. They're too good for wear rainy days.

Long time no talk!!

It's been a while since I last updated the blog!!
Actually I felt queasy and depressed for no reason..
But I've risen phoenix-like from the ashes! Ha-ha!! :)

I think I'll actively work on the blog. :)

On the day,I was in Shibuya to had regular meeting with one of my customers.

In the afternoon,I went into the bathroom to freshen up.

When I was about to leave the bathroom, I noticed that the door was slightly clacking.

I thought it was because of the construction vibration.

But it was NOT!! 

The vibration was gradually getting bigger,,,  it off my feet. I crouched on the floor.

I automatically just felt something different from simple earthquake.

It developed a crack in the wall in front of me. It was TERRIFYING!!!

When I got into the office room,I found the room got messed up! 

Almost all racks and shelves got fell over . One of rack blocked the door to the exit.

We hauled it away and moved away from the building.

There were a lot of people staring anxiously the building.

After a while, we decided to go home. 

But we got full suspension of the train service.

I walked from Shibuya to Jiyugaoka in the pedlock.

Every convenience stores and supermarkets were crowded.And there was no food product and bottles of water.

The telephone lines went dead,and cell-phone service was interrupted, only we could use was the internet.

I was encouraged by Twitter message and got a lot of information from it.( Some of them are bogus information though.)

Anyway,I and my family are safe. Thanks for cheer us up!

And feel sorry for the people that were  killed and injured,, 

May their soul rest in peace.

Amusement Expo 2011

I went to "Amusement Expo" yesterday.

What is "Amusement Expo"?

It's a kind of exhibition in which the amusement machine industries introduce the latest arcade video games and prizes for crane machines.

They enjoyed the high-tech arcade video games.

There were many characters popular with kids, we can have their pictures taken with them. :)
